We're back with another behind-the-scenes look at the Bennett Racing HQ.

Resurrection 🐦🔥
Really good progress on the car, the chassis is now stripped (nearly) bare.
And realising that we’re basically building a new car…
🔥 new fire system
⛽ new fuel system and tank
🚙 new body
🛞 new tyres
💥 new roll cage (I’m a lanky fecker)
⚡ new/replaced ignition parts
⚙️ new engine
📈 new data logger and digital dash
✈️ new front wing
🔴 new brakes
🔩 new fittings front to back
Probably forgetting loads too
Getting there....
Workshop Progress
✅Mocked up front wing. Perfect size.
✅Tweaks to clutch can & associated bolts. Saved more weight. Still need to trim up the motor plate…
Sorted 1.2 million nuts and bolts, then sorted part of the chassis that wanted to do for long time.
Couple of unneeded tabs ground off and removed, and altered so we can ‘open’ and leave in the car when removing Lenco and servicing the clutch.
Trying to make our lives easier!
Also, a huge thank you to David and Simon at Vulcan Shotblasting for very carefully bead blasting the chassis test piece we gave them in prep for blasting the whole chassis.
Absolutely perfect job. Light scotchbright and RAVENOL and it’s spot on.
Thank you gents. Perfect work as always.
Looking forward and back...
Next up for chassis, it will be off to Vulcan Shotblasting to remove all paint.
